Dr. Eric Olmsted is a 20-year R&D executive and expert in innovations in product and measurement. He focuses on creating value by utilizing large claims and enrollment databases, as well as prediction and evaluation methodologies. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and academic presentations.

Previously, Dr. Olmsted was the director of analytic consulting for Lumeris, an accountable care enablement organization. There he designed and sold a financial return model, developed analytic models for clients working in the CMS Bundled Payment for Care Improvement initiative, and led the development and delivery of a key outcomes report.

Earlier, he directed Health Dialog’s research team developing methodologies for reporting financial outcomes. During this time, he was selected for the prestigious Bupa Healthcare Executive Programme, which he completed in 2010. At RTI International and Integrated Healthcare Information Services (now Optum), Dr. Olmsted developed risk adjustment and predictive modeling systems.

Dr. Olmsted holds a Ph.D. in health economics from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. from Connecticut College.
